VirtuozzoTM, developed by virtualization experts Parallels, creates virtual environments, also known as Virtual Private Servers (VPSs), which are low priced alternatives to traditional dedicated servers. These VPSs improve server utilization, guarantee resources, and prevent application conflict.
Operating System Virtualization
Rather than trying to virtualize a complete set of hardware, Virtuozzo virtualizes at the operating system level, which makes it ideal for a hosting environment. Virtuozzo runs all the virtual environments on top of a single operating system kernel which is multiplexed to look like multiple operating systems, especially from the perspective of running users and services. This results in lower overhead from the operating system, allowing you to use more of the allocated resources for your websites and applications.

Unique Windows Architecture
Our Windows .Net VPS + and Windows CF VPS + servers use a unique three drive architecture (C:, D:, and E:) instead of a standard single drive. The total amount of virtual disk space, including the operating system, website, databases, and log files for your VPS, is divided among the three drives. This architecture allows data requests to be spread out so your VPS can read and write data much faster than on a single drive.
Unique MS SQL Architecture
Our VPS plans with MS SQL Server Workgroup Edition are created within a server using a 6 spindle 3 mirror architecture, meaning that there are 6 hard drives in 3 mirrored RAID pairs. A mirrored RAID pair uses two identical disk drives to simulate a single drive. Since your data is written to each drive, if one happens to fail, your data will still be intact on the remaining drive.
Daily Backups
Every day, an incremental backup is performed to capture any new data from the previous day. Once a week, a full backup is performed to capture all data on your VPS, regardless of when it was changed.
